What size Moses basket mattress do I need?

Measure the inside of the basket and choose a mattress that matches the listed length, width and depth as closely as possible.

Are Moses basket mattresses all the same?

No. Small differences in dimensions and depth are common, so always check the product listing against your basket.

What is the best material for a Moses basket mattress?

Look for breathable foam or other materials that are clearly described as suitable for baby use and easy to keep clean.

Do I need a mattress protector?

A waterproof protector can make routine cleaning easier and help keep the mattress cover in good condition.

Can I use pram sheets in a Moses basket?

Only if the sheet size is listed as compatible with your mattress dimensions and fit type.

How thick should a Moses basket mattress be?

Thickness varies by basket design, so follow the product’s stated measurements rather than guessing from appearance.

Are fitted sheets better than flat sheets?

Fitted sheets usually give a neater, more secure finish on a Moses basket mattress.

How often should bedding be washed?

Wash according to the care label and your household routine, especially where spills or leaks are involved.

Can I buy a mattress first and choose the basket later?

It is usually safer to choose the basket first, then match the mattress to its exact internal dimensions.

What should I look for in a basket listing?

Check size, weight, materials, included bedding and whether the listing clearly states compatibility with a Moses basket mattress.
